Spring Heat Hits Ogden Valley ☀️

Your weekly update for life, events, and real estate in Ogden Valley

A Warm Week Ahead in Ogden Valley

Spring is making its presence known in Ogden Valley this week. Temperatures are expected to climb well above what we typically see for mid-March, with daytime highs pushing into the upper 60s and even low 70s later in the week. Snow is melting quickly across the valley floor, and trails, golf courses, and waterfront areas around Pineview Reservoir are starting to see early-season activity.

While the ski resorts are still operating, this kind of warmth is a reminder that the valley’s shoulder season is approaching quickly. It’s a great time to get outside, explore the lower elevation trails, and enjoy the first real taste of spring in the mountains.

Mountain Music & Arts Recap – Sammy Brue

This past Saturday’s Mountain Music and Arts Winter Series concert was another great night for the Ogden Valley community. The show featured Sammy Brue, a young troubadour known for his layered storytelling and folk-inspired sound.

Brue’s performance blended acoustic roots music with thoughtful songwriting, creating an intimate atmosphere that fits perfectly with the community feel of the series. Events like this are one of the reasons the Ogden Valley continues to stand out—not just for its outdoor recreation, but also for its growing arts and music culture. It was a packed house and a fun night for locals and visitors alike.

Events Happening This Week

Here are a few events happening in and around the Ogden Valley and Ogden area over the coming week:

Celtic Celebration – March 17
At Peery's Egyptian Theater, enjoy an evening of Irish and Scottish music, step dancing, and traditional performances.

Sweet Taste of Ogden Food Tour – March 18
A guided walking tour through downtown Ogden highlighting local dessert spots and sharing stories from the city’s history.

Outdoor Recreation Season Begins
With the warm weather, expect more activity around Pineview Reservoir, trailheads throughout the valley, and early spring biking and hiking conditions.

Neighborhood of the Week: The Preserve

Located in the Liberty/Eden area, The Preserve (Sheep Creek Cluster Subdivision) offers a peaceful residential setting surrounded by trees, open space, and the scenic Sheep Creek corridor.

The neighborhood consists of roughly 140 homesites spread across four phases, many backing to open space that preserves the valley’s natural character. Residents enjoy paved walking trails, a playground, pavilion with BBQ grills, and a recreational field maintained by a low HOA.

One of the biggest advantages of The Preserve is its proximity to outdoor recreation. Within about 30 minutes you can reach:

  • Powder Mountain

  • Snowbasin Resort

  • Pineview Reservoir

  • Wolf Creek Golf Course

Homes in the community are connected to Powder Mountain’s sewer system and Liberty Pipeline Water, with gas, power, and internet available. The Preserve offers a quiet mountain lifestyle while still being close to the best recreation the valley has to offer.
